How To Change The Orbi Wireless Name And Channel From Admin Network?

 

You may or may not know that Orbi pro has three networks namely administrative, employee, and guest access.

The details of the Orbi router and the satellite are given in the admin network. The SSID of the router can be checked even from the hardware itself. The wireless settings are used for wireless connection purposes. If the settings get changed, it will automatically get updated on satellite.

The smartphone or the computer which you have connected to the router gets disconnected if the SSID of the wireless network gets changed. To connect to the network again, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps.

Alter the admin wireless network name and channel

1.       Open the web browser from the computer connected to the Orbi router.

2.       Enter Orbi login in the address field followed by pressing ‘Enter’.

3.       The login page will now open. Enter the username and the password on this page.

4.       Open the ‘Wireless’ option from the home page.

5.       You will find all the settings on the screen.

6.       Enter new SSID for your Orbi router.

7.       You can enter up to 32 characters in the SSID field. Don’t enter any special character or symbol in the SSID field.

8.       Press ‘OK’ to save the settings.
