If you have not signed up on the cloud account yet, then enter basic details to create an account. Link the device to the cloud account and start managing it.
  2. Open ‘Wi-fi’ settings from the dashboard. This you will find on the left-hand corner of the page.
  3. Go to ‘Edit’ settings.
  4. Enter the new username and password in the next couple of fields. If prompted enter the details twice to confirm. If you are using the latest Velop router, then you will find SSID in place of username. Both fields are identical.
  5. Select the type of security, channel, and width from same page.
  6. To change the frequency bands or know the difference between 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, click on ‘Wireless channel’. If you select the 5 GHz channel, it will offer low interference with high bandwidth.
  7. Click ‘Ok’ to apply the changes.

To change the basic settings again soon, follow the same steps or access the Linksys cloud account remotely from any computer. If you want to access the smart router through local network, then go to ‘Web-based interface’ page from the browser and enter the login details. Click on the option ‘Network map tool’. Check the model number and make of your router from the opened page.
